Our housewife pillowcase features a classic straight-edge, or knife-edge, design with an envelope opening on one side, finished with neat top stitching, allowing the pillow to be fully encased for a crisp, tailored finish. The housewife style originated in the 19th century when a co-operative of housewives introduced the envelope flap to prevent pillows from slipping out of the case.
Fabric
Made from brilliant white, high-thread-count cotton with a 223 thread count, this pillowcase has a soft, silky smooth finish that feels gentle and comfortable against the skin. It is fully washable for everyday practicality, and the fabric is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, ensuring it is free from harmful substances.
