Bought to fill a knee support pillow to replace memory foam that was too soft. Also to top up a pillow. Large quantity supplied with lovely smell. Both pillows are now a lot more supportive and less sweaty!

Great natural product to rejuvenate old cushions

Bought a couple of kilos to stuff a long bolster cushion, was very pleased with how soft but firm the wool is as a stuffing material, how lovely the faint sheep scent is and how easy to use the wool was as well!

I’ve bought 2 batches of the lambs wool cushion stuffing to restore the cushions on an old chesterfield. I love the wool - so soft and smells lovely. For seating it took more to stuff the cushions but I don’t mind because it’s lovely to sit on. I like to think I’m supporting British farmers in buying the wool. The service has been excellent and I would recommend this company in a heartbeat.

I purchased 3 kilos of the sheep wool filling and absolutely love it . It is quite dense but very soft and will make firm but comfortable cushions and pillows. It smells heavenly and I have left out to air and the whole smells amazing. There is a lot there and I am sure I will be able to make excellent cushions and pillows that will hold there shape while being comfortable but I know I will definitely be buying more. Came carefully packaged and arrive quickly.

So plesed to find a natural, local stuffing material! The wool came quickly and proved lovely to use. I made some cushion pads and also plan to refurbish an old chair which has gone a bit flat. Smells fine to me…

I absolutely love this eco friendly wool filling which was recommended by a friend. This product is a revelation, a great alternative to kapok and with green credentials. I'm using it to fill new cushions and replenish old cushions that have gone limp and flat. Excellent soft wool that goes along way. I made a sleep pillow for myself because I have never been able to buy a pillow that gives me comfort and the support I need for my neck. The bought firm/medium are fine for a week or two then the support stars to disappear and don't get me started on the memory form because they were just as bad only more expensive.

I bought this filling to make a yoga bolster. Packed down it is really firm, but very light so just right for carrying to class It is a really environmentally secure alternative to man made fillings. I found the quantity guide useful too

Fabulous quality product - bought 1 kilo to fill 3 new cushion pads (approx 30 x 30 cm). Very soft and gently smelling of lanolin. Will definitely order again. Only slight negative was with shipping - no dispatch notice sent so I was in the dark about when my order was sent/would arrive. The delivery company is Hermes, who were slow (package was with them 5 days before it went out for delivery), but when I contacted Cushion Warehouse directly they very quickly gave me an update on the delivery status.

Bought a kilo to replace the stuffing in a restored 1940's teddy as I wanted a natural filling in keeping with his age. The wool is easy to work with, pleasant to handle, and did not fly around everywhere or stick to the teddy's fur. It has given him back his shape again, firmly filled and yet soft to hold. With what is left I plan to make and fill two lap trays - much more pleasant than the poly beads with which commercial ones are filled. Delivery was quick, and although I was taken aback by the size of the box it came in at first, I'm pleased the wool hadn't been squashed down to fit something smaller as it was wonderfully light and fluffy to use. I'm very satisfied with what is a great product.

I bought 12kg as I wasn't sure how much I needed and this was the minimum order to get free postage. More than I expected! Two larges cartons very tightly packed. Fabulous stuff. Have made 5 cushions 60 x 60cm, 2 cushions 40 x 40cm, 5 pillows and a padded backing for a 180 cm hanging cushion above a built-in seating area. I have only used 10kg so will use the rest to replace the old feather pads in some of my other cushions. The wool is lovely to work with and great value for money.

I bought some of this stuff on a whim, I was searching for something to fill a dog bed with and liked the idea of a natural and British product. In the end I opted for different product (cluster fibre filling) as the wash temp is only 30? and that's not hot enough for a dog bed. It is lovely, soft and cosy. It does have that sheepy smell but only mildly and then I washed some to see what happened. The smell was reduced and personally I don't mind the smell anyway and if anything it became even more soft and fluffy. If you do try it and wash it don't do what I foolishly did and pop some in a lingerie washing bag into the machine (to contain it) as the bulk of it remained in the bag but a certain amount of fibre filtered it's way out and I had to vacuum out the interior of the washing machine (once it had dried off) and the tumble dryer. I'm going to try a previous reviewer's idea and make a floor cushion to rest my feet on and keep them warm in winter, feather proof liner I think!

Wow, this wool filling is lovely. Just filled a pouffe and a large floor cushion with it, and both look and feel great and of course is totally natural. I emailed before placing my order to ask for advice as to how much I would need, had a reply straight away, and the amount was exactly right. On top of that, I opted to pick up the wool from the workshop in East Sussex which is near me saving on postage. I will definitely buy more in the future when I need it.

I am going to make a floor cushion for my feet because if my feet and ankles get cold my legs ache this wool filling will be perfect to sink my feet into for warmth without being trapped in slippers or socks Perfect I personally thought Hermes took a while to deliver especially as it isn’t a free delivery The parcel arrived yesterday. This is lovely stuff. Soft, springy, and we think it smells great! We bought it to fill cushions, but I'm so tempted to make a pillow. And very happy indeed to be able to buy a British product. Only thing I don't understand is why more people aren't using this? Highly recommended.

I used to make top half of two pillows (bottom half = latex - all wool I found too hard, all latex too sweaty, combination = just right!) We already had a wool pillow from another supplier. This wool from cushionwarehouse is not as 'refined' - it is clean but stil contains flecks of vegetation, far too small to be aware of in use. However this wool, at less than a quarter of the price of the other, is much better value, and I honestly can't tell the difference in use. I could not detect any particular smell from the wool. I have been using the pillows for a couple of months now and am very pleased with them. I am seriously considering making a duvet with more of this - would be much much cheaper than buying one ready made! Very happy to recommend this product.

Excellent service and product. I used the filling to top us the rectangular cushion pads I bought together. It is now two weeks I have been using the wool filled pillows and My husband and I are waking up without neck pain. The first time I thought I filled the pillow a lot as if I put my head onto a rock BUT I just fall asleep and did not wake up to a neck pain and My husband stopped snoring. The gentle giant looks like a rock but in fact is softer than anything you can call a soft material you sleep on. I have made a pillow with the filling and gave to my 86 years old Mum. She is very contented. The bottom line is since we have started to use the wool fillings as pillows three of us felt very assured of contentment comfort secure and safe enough that we will wake up happy and contented. We have been wake up to the feeling that as if someone is hugging us throughout of the night making sure we feel safe and well looked after! It is ever so easy to use the filling to make up whatever you like. There is no odor whatsoever. we slept on the pillows I filled the same day the filling arrived. Thank you.

I have a batwing pillow, in the shape of a bat's wing and designed for people who like to read sitting up in bed. The problem was the materials, both pillow and pillowcase were made of polyester. I had pillowcases and a pillow cover made locally in pure cotton, but needed a pure wool filling. The wool filling is softer and will be essential in the warm summer months. I am delighted with the result.

Lovely and surprisingly soft wool. Comes in a big reinforced plastic bag, excellently packed. Was more than enough for my bedroom pillow - I bought 1 kilo and could easily make 3 low pillows from the amount of wool purchased. Didn't really notice/wasn't at all bothered by the 'smell'? Will also use for cat bedding and lounge pillows. Didn't create any fluff. Very happy with product.

Absolutely delighted. I have a neck problem and have spent a fortune on expensive pillows, which have been a waste of money. They have been fine for a few months and then rubbish, no support at all. It was for this reason I decided to make my own pillow, I ordered 3kilos of wool, I knew that was more than I needed but I thought I could stuff the cushions with the left over. I made my pillow using an old pillow case and gradually stuffed it until it was the right height and firmness, I have never slept so well in years. Yes there is a slight odour but it isn't offensive, if the smell does put you off spray the second pillow case with lavender. Great stuff.

The wool fill has made lovely plump springy sofa seat cushions. It's very easy to use and initial smell is like soap but once filled undetectable. I would definitely use it again as an alternative to foam/feathers.

Great product. Had a good laugh at the previous review about the smell of sheep. The smell is in fact lanolin, which fades over time. We've been making cushions out of this for over a year, which have been sold at some of London'd major department stores- so I disagree that customers wouldn't like it. Excellent wool.

The sheep's wool is beautiful. Its more than I expected. Will definitely be using more of it. Used to make neck cushions that are of a peculiar shape but the sheep's wool has gone into all the little nooks and crannies brilliantly.
