Filling
Our Square Wool Cushion Pads are filled with 100% natural Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) wool, carefully sourced from UK farms. Known for its soft curl, lustre, and natural resilience, this premium fibre provides lasting comfort and quality. The wool is scoured (washed) to remove impurities but retains a small amount of lanolin to preserve its natural properties. This lanolin gives new wool cushion pads their characteristic ‘wool smell’, a sign of quality and natural integrity, which gradually fades over time. Retaining lanolin maintains the durability and structure of the wool fibres, ensuring our wool cushion inserts are long-lasting and supportive.
Lining
The cushion pad is lined in finely woven 100% OEKO-TEX® certified cotton cambric, a soft, breathable, and durable fabric that protects the premium wool filling while providing a smooth long-lasting surface for both functional and decorative use. Combined with the natural wool, this creates a fully natural, non-toxic and safe cushion pad for your home. Sizing & measurement Information
cushion pad sizes are measured from seam to seam.
When ordering to fit an existing cushion cover, we recommend choosing a cushion pad 1 inch (2.5 cm) larger than the cover size to ensure a proper fit and full appearance.
If you are making a cushion from scratch and do not have an existing cover, please contact us for sizing advice.
If the size you require is not listed, we can manufacture bespoke cushion pads - please contact us for a quotation.
Measurements can be taken from either your existing cushion pad or the cushion cover. Measuring tips can be found on our bespoke cushion page to help ensure accuracy.

Wool Cushion Pad Care
- Spot clean only: Gently clean with a damp cloth and mild, wool-safe detergent if needed.
- Avoid harsh chemicals: Do not use bleach or strong cleaners, as these can damage the wool.
- Plump regularly: Shake and plump the pad daily, or a few times a week, to redistribute the wool and maintain comfort and appearance.
- Rotate and flip: Occasionally rotate and flip the pad to ensure even wear and prevent compression in one area.
- Air Occasionally: Freshen the pad by placing it outside or in a well-ventilated area, avoiding prolonged direct sunlight.

Bought 27x27 with wool filling to provide a bit more support for us on the sofa. Excellent choice as they are firm and so far are doing the job. Hopefully long term the filling won't squash and bunch up too much as happened with our previous cushions. Only drawback is that the wool does have a smell initially, this does wear off though.
I had to wait longer than I thought as some workers were on holiday. Saying that it was well worth the wait, I had been bought, 2 very expensive large cushion covers, and came across cushion Warehouse on google. I purchased 2 large wool filling cushion and they are fab, and well worth the cost. I was very pleased with my purchase of two large cushions to replace some I have had for ages and the fact that I wanted the wool stuffing. The order was very quick to come and made very well. The wool stuffing had a slight smell but this soon disappeared with use. Would definitely recommend.

British sheep wool, 25x25inch, bought to replace lifeless cushions for back of sofa. They are firm and brought my 12 month sofa back to life. Perfect.

Having tried polyester, mixed fibres and feather filled cushion pads from various suppliers, I have to say I am so glad I purchased the wool filled ones from The Cushion Warehouse. We love the firm support they give and it's so easy to re-plump them. Although I ordered them over the Christmas period, I was very impressed with the speedy delivery too. These 26" sheep wool-filled cushions are just perfect to replace the flimsy fibre back scatter cushion pads of our 4 seater sofa. Plump and firm. Look smart. require very little "plumping" and are supportive even for those of us with bad back problems. Highly recommend.
