Filling

Our Rectangle Wool Cushion Pads are filled with 100% natural Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) wool sourced from UK farms, this heritage fibre is prized for its lustre, resilience, and exceptional quality. The wool is carefully scoured (washed) to remove impurities while retaining a small amount of lanolin to preserve its natural properties. This retained lanolin gives new wool cushion pads their characteristic ‘wool smell’, a sign of quality and authenticity, which naturally fades over time. By preserving the natural lanolin, the wool fibres maintain durability, resilience, and structure, ensuring our wool cushion inserts remain comfortable, plump, and long-lasting.

Lining

The cushion pad is lined in finely woven 100% OEKO-TEX® certified cotton cambric, a breathable, durable, and soft fabric that complements the natural properties of our wool filling. Together, they create a fully natural, non-toxic and safe cushion pad for your home. The lining protects the wool fibres while providing a smooth, long-lasting surface suitable for everyday use. Sizing & measurement Information

• cushion pad sizes are measured from seam to seam.

• When ordering to fit an existing cushion cover, we recommend choosing a cushion pad 1 inch (2.5 cm) larger than the cover size to ensure a proper fit and full appearance.

• If you are making a cushion from scratch and do not have an existing cover, please contact us for sizing advice.

• If the size you require is not listed, we can manufacture bespoke cushion pads - please contact us for a quotation.

• Measurements can be taken from either your existing cushion pad or the cushion cover. Measuring tips can be found on our bespoke cushion page to help ensure accuracy.

Wool Cushion Pad Care

• Spot clean only: Gently clean with a damp cloth and mild, wool-safe detergent if needed.
• Avoid harsh chemicals: Do not use bleach or strong cleaners, as these can damage the wool.
• Plump regularly: Shake and plump the pad daily, or a few times a week, to redistribute the wool and maintain comfort and appearance.
• Rotate and flip: Occasionally rotate and flip the pad to ensure even wear and prevent compression in one area.
• Air Occasionally: Freshen the pad by placing it outside or in a well-ventilated area, avoiding prolonged direct sunlight.
